Portrait and Silhouette Posters

Portraiture explores a presence through a gaze, posture or the simple outline of a body. A detailed face, cut-out profile, silhouette in motion or figure seen from behind creates very different relationships with the observer.

The face and body between identity and anonymity

The eye can travel between profiles, gazes, moving silhouettes, busts, shadows and simplified figures. A frontal portrait creates a direct relationship; an anonymous silhouette leaves more room for interpretation and composition. This variety forms a coherent whole without confining every work to the same visual formula.

The collection is interested in original human figures, far from celebrities, protected characters or reproductions of a known portrait. It maintains a precise intention without presenting the same images under artificially interchangeable themes.

Choosing the degree of human presence in the room

A frontal image creates a powerful focal point in a living room; a more abstract silhouette readily accompanies a bedroom or corridor. Light can reveal features or leave them partly in shadow, while colour conveys a mood without defining a real identity. The figures remain anonymous and original so that emotion takes precedence over resemblance. The crop always respects the figure's dignity and the gesture's coherence.

The theme of portraiture can become a focal point or simply support the overall atmosphere. This decision depends on the available wall area, neighbouring colours and the role already played by furniture, textiles and other images.

An intense gaze becomes a focal point in the living room. A more discreet profile line calms a bedroom. As a pair, contrasting closeness and distance creates a genuine dialogue rather than two faces placed side by side. Before deciding, it is useful to observe viewing distance, real light and lines already present around the chosen location.
