Abstract Body Poster – Ribbons of Colour

Three broad movements of colour unfold against cobalt blue. Emerald green, ivory and coral cross like ribbons; their bends suggest a neck, waist and bent arm. This abstract body drawing leaves the figure open, without a face or complete anatomy to recognise.

Curves that suggest a presence

The ivory band runs down between two green areas, then widens towards the bottom. On the right, coral forms a generous loop that might suggest an elbow. The forms enter and leave the frame: the image seems to continue beyond its edges. The blue space in the centre is as much a part of the gesture as the coloured ribbons.

The motif depends on this uncertainty between figure and abstraction. You can follow a line as the outline of a body, then return to the simple meeting of colours. No detail establishes a precise posture. The title refers to light through the effect of contrast, but neither a light source nor a shiny material is depicted on the poster.

A broad sweep of colour for the living room

On a light wall, cobalt forms a deep field enlivened by green and coral. In a living room with simple furniture, the image can introduce a curve where angles dominate. In an entrance hall, its vertical form gives the eye a direction without requiring much distance to understand the overall movement.

The composition stays legible from afar thanks to its broad colour fields; up close, changes in width and soft edges invite a different journey through it. It suits anyone looking for a reference to the human body without choosing a figurative portrait.
