Geometric portrait poster – Cobalt balance

A pale pink face stands out against a light blue background, crossed by a cobalt shadow that runs from temple to neck. The dark green hair sweeps into a broad curve on the right; the vermilion top anchors the composition below. This geometric portrait poster preserves the presence of a direct gaze while simplifying the features into broad areas of colour.

A cobalt shadow gives the face its shape

The blue is not confined to the background. It marks one side of the nose, cheek and neck, then meets the luminous pink of the other half of the face. This distribution creates depth without piling on detail. Defined eyebrows, eyes looking towards us and small red lips bring clearly legible features back into the stylised forms.

The rounded sweep of the hair softens the structure of the face. The background, almost uniform but subtly shaded, leaves it room to breathe; the silhouette remains complete and the shoulders meet the lower edge naturally.

A touch of colour in a light room

Against a white or soft grey wall, the four main colour combinations are easy to read from a distance. In a restrained living room, the red of the clothing can echo a discreet object rather than an entire set of matching furniture. In a study, the frontal gaze adds a human presence where purely abstract motifs might feel cooler.

The portrait format suits a narrow stretch of wall, beside a bookcase or above a low cabinet. The dark curve and blue shadow hold the composition in balance: the colour catches the eye, then the face holds its attention.
