Choose a visual style for your home

Colors, shapes and the level of detail matter as much as the name of a style. Compare a few images before choosing your collection.

Start with shapes and colors

Do you like simple lines, geometric compositions or richly detailed images? Start with these preferences, then open two or three collections. An abstract image and a landscape can share a palette while making a different impression on your wall.

Distinguish movement, inspiration and subject

Cubism and Romanticism are art movements; Vintage and Bohemian can also describe decorative styles. For the subject of an image, browse Subjects. The same animal or landscape can appear in several styles. Product pages distinguish reproductions of identified artworks from designs inspired by a style.

Choose the print type after the design

A Canvas Print and a paper Poster have a different appearance. Product pages specify the material, sizes and finishes for each item. The Canvas Prints / Posters choice on this page changes the collections shown; it does not convert a product into another print type.

Connect your choice to the room

Compare the design with your wall, furniture and textiles. Browsing by room and by color can help you narrow down your Canvas Print selection. For a particular artwork or painter, explore reproductions by artist.

Questions to help you choose

What is the difference between a style and a subject?

Style describes the visual treatment: shapes, lines, colors or artistic references. Subject describes what an image depicts, such as animals, flowers or music. These two starting points complement each other.

Why are some styles available in only one print type?

The two catalogs do not offer exactly the same collections. Each view shows the collections available for its print type. You can switch between Canvas Prints and Posters to compare the other options.

Where can I find the collections within a category?

When a category includes several collections, open “Explore the collections” below its image. You will find, for example, different approaches to abstract art or various Japanese inspirations.

Are Romanticism and Love and Couples the same style?

No. Romanticism is a historical art movement. Love and Couples is a subject, accessible through Subjects. An artwork can belong to both, such as Hayez’s The Kiss.

Do watercolor or mosaic effects describe the material?

These names can describe the appearance of the reproduced design. They do not mean that an original watercolor or real mosaic tiles are being sold. Each product page specifies the material and product details.
