Scandinavian yellow tulips and charcoal poster

Three flowers, three heights and plenty of air

The first tulip opens on the left, the tallest rises at the centre and the third answers from the right. Their yellow blooms do not form a tightly gathered bouquet. Each stem keeps its place, leaving the pale blue background visible between the leaves. Broad dark green shapes rise from a charcoal band at the bottom, as though the flowers were growing from a simple graphic base.

This Scandinavian yellow tulips poster rests on a few easily read elements: three flowers, generous foliage and a blue field. The yellow looks brighter beside the leaves' near-black green. Rather than seeking the botanical accuracy of a study plate, the illustration gives the tulips a clear presence, with the feel of gouache and quiet outlines.

A floral accent that leaves the room uncluttered

In a light living room, the flowers' contrast introduces a warm colour without replacing the room's whole palette. In a bedroom, the open spaces around the stems maintain a feeling of lightness. The poster can stand on its own on a narrow wall or sit alongside other botanical images with softly coloured backgrounds.

The central flower dominates, but the other two keep it from becoming a solitary symbol. Their blooms echo one another above the green leaves, each at a different height. This rhythm of three yellows brings energy without multiplying motifs. The charcoal band anchors the stems and the pale blue leaves air around them: the poster finds its balance in those intervals, not in an overfilled bouquet.
