Kintsugi Poster with a Black Bowl and Golden Lines

Golden lines bring the bowl's dark surface into focus

The black bowl occupies the lower part of the image, extending just beyond the right edge. Fine golden lines follow its illustrated cracks, bright enough to stand out against the dark ceramic appearance without obscuring its shape. Behind it, a broad ivory stroke sweeps across petrol blue; a vermilion surface supports the bowl. This kintsugi-inspired poster pairs the image of a repaired vessel with a much freer graphic gesture.

The pale curve above answers the bowl's irregular lines. Your eye first follows that wide sweep, then returns to the smaller details of the vessel. This is an illustration: the poster contains neither a ceramic object nor real gold, and the image does not document a particular craft repair. The visible lines are the subject, with their contrast between dark depth and bright accents.

A rich contrast for an understated wall

On a white or beige wall, petrol blue provides a broad area of colour while the red below adds warmth. In a living room, the bowl's silhouette can echo a table or shelf without the poster presenting itself as a product photograph. In a study, the large ivory sweep disrupts the vessel's stability and keeps the image from feeling too static.

The portrait format gives the painted gesture plenty of space above the bowl. A crack becomes a line to follow, while the whole composition keeps the simplicity of a still life. It can suggest repair without claiming a historical provenance or a verified material process.
