Colourful octagons poster with yellow diamonds

Large octagons, small yellow junctions

Octagons fill the surface in three regular columns. Between their sides, small yellow diamonds appear like punctuation marks. Without these accents, the pattern would feel heavier; with them, you notice the spaces between shapes as much as the large navy, coral and ivory areas. The whole retains the clarity of a tiled pattern while inviting you to look at its junctions.

The shapes extend to the edges, giving this octagon poster the appearance of a fragment taken from a larger pattern. The drawing does not try to imitate real tiles: its contrasts and proportions belong to a graphic composition for the wall.

The tiny yellow shapes are more than colourful accents. They show where the octagons meet and where the grid could continue beyond the frame. Following these points reveals a second, finer structure between the large figures. The pattern unfolds at two speeds: the broad areas you see first and the connections you notice afterwards.

An ordered pattern that holds its place

In a study, the octagons introduce a visible structure without relying on letters or symbols. In a living room, navy steadies the eye while coral adds measured warmth. A simple frame or a light wall can emphasise this alternation of broad shapes and small junctions without introducing another decorative layer.

You can take it in at a glance as an orderly rhythm, or linger over the small diamonds that change how you read it.
