Turquoise alarm clock pop art poster at ten past ten

Two turquoise bells against yellow

The alarm clock faces you, with its curved handle, two bells and small feet clearly visible. A turquoise case surrounds an ivory dial, where black ticks take the place of numbers. The hands show approximately ten past ten, a quiet detail you notice after recognising the silhouette. Behind the clock, a pink disc introduces a second round shape without confusing the reading of the time.

This turquoise alarm clock pop art poster is not trying to pass for a real appliance. Cobalt shadows, pale highlights and a uniform yellow background push the object firmly into illustration. Black outlines define its edges, while the generous space around the dial keeps the colourful image open. Even from a distance, the twin bells are enough to recall a familiar alarm clock.

A picture of time that puts no one under pressure

An alarm clock usually tells you to get up or leave. Here, held at 10:10, it becomes a motif to look at rather than an instruction to follow. The poster has no printed words. Its humour comes from the contrast between an object that rings in everyday life and a composition that remains entirely silent.

In a study, it can answer the rhythm of the day with a bright, familiar presence. In a bedroom, it brings a retro accent without heavy nostalgia, especially against a simple wall and understated furniture. The geometry of the dial and pink disc suits a room that favours rounded shapes. The clock adds colour as well as a small, knowing nod to the passage of time.
