Surrealist Wall Art – The Forest of Clocks

Amber clock faces along a dark woodland path

In the Forest of Clocks, a path recedes between twisted trunks and interwoven branches. Large amber clock faces are fixed to the foreground trees, while smaller ones mark the passage farther into the scene. Roman numerals and dark hands stand out against their yellow and orange faces. This surrealist canvas print places a familiar object within an imaginary forest, in a landscape composition that leads the eye along the path.

Deep green and turquoise surround the trunks, with ochre marks following their edges and lighting parts of the ground. Branches form a canopy over the passage. The printed design shows irregular bark effects and streaks around the clocks, adding contrast between the circular faces and the curves of the depicted wood. A lighter area in the centre provides a distant focal point for this woodland perspective. The closer clocks frame that opening rather than covering it, so the depth remains clear across the composition.

A receding scene beside a reading corner

Near a brown armchair and dark wooden bookcase, this surrealist wall art can pick up the furniture’s warm tones through its clock faces. A cream wall separates the canvas’s dark outline from its surroundings and keeps the depth of the path visible. Choose a plain green textile or a small ochre object to accompany the scene: repeating one colour is enough to connect the image with the reading corner.

Four landscape sizes are offered: 41 × 31, 51 × 41, 61 × 46 and 91 × 61 cm. Compare the chosen width with the free space between the shelves and armchair. Smaller formats concentrate the scene; a larger canvas gives the clock faces and branching canopy more room.
