Sunflowers Canvas Print – Vincent van Gogh

Fifteen sunflowers in the light of Arles

Arranged around a beige vase signed Vincent, Van Gogh's Sunflowers canvas print brings together fifteen blooms in shifting shades of yellow. Some flower heads are still open, while others droop or already reveal their broad, seed-filled centres. This variety gives the bouquet rhythm while keeping the palette almost entirely yellow. The pale background, ochre table and golden flowers echo one another, punctuated by brown, olive green and a discreet touch of blue in the signature. The work reproduced here is the version painted in Arles in 1888 and held by the National Gallery in London.

Sunlit yellow for a kitchen or dining room

This canvas reproduction brings instant warmth to a room without introducing too many colours. In a bright kitchen, it pairs naturally with wood, white ceramics and natural fibres. In a dining room, its vertical format structures a wall between a sideboard and a window; in the living room, it creates a luminous accent against beige, sage green or grey-blue. The vase firmly anchors the composition, while the stems and petals lead the eye upwards. Even in a compact space, the bouquet retains a confident, welcoming presence.

Van Gogh's Sunflowers, an iconic series

Van Gogh painted several versions of Sunflowers, so this London canvas should not be presented as the only original in the series. Its identity lies in its bouquet of fifteen flowers, the blue signature on the vase and the yellow-on-yellow palette that unifies the whole. In larger formats, the differences between petals, seeds and fading blooms become more apparent; in S or M, the overall silhouette of the bouquet remains instantly recognisable. Van Gogh's Sunflowers suits anyone looking for radiant floral décor as well as a work in which vitality and the passage of time coexist with remarkable simplicity.
