Staggered colourful diamonds geometric poster

Diamonds that keep your gaze moving

These large diamonds do not line up like the squares of a chequerboard. Three columns are offset, while triangular planes extend their points and lead your gaze up and down again. The junctions between plum, orange, mint and ivory give this diamond-pattern poster a subtle sense of movement: your eye shifts between each complete shape and the facets that make it up.

The edge-to-edge composition dispenses with a decorative border. Shapes seem to enter and leave the paper, with no figurative image to dictate a story. Orange brings brightness and plum answers with greater depth; areas of mint and ivory keep that exchange from becoming too dense.

Colourful rhythm without rigid symmetry

This composition can enliven a study furnished in light wood, where the offset columns echo the lines of shelving without copying them. In a living room, it provides a clear accent of colour above a console or beside a plain armchair. Its portrait format naturally suits a narrow stretch of wall.

The appeal is the staggered arrangement of the shapes, not perfect repetition. That slight shift is precisely what makes the image enjoyable to explore rather than simply count.

The points do not all meet in the same place. Some almost touch; others leave a broader area of ivory between them. These gaps are where your eye slows down. Depending on your distance, you first notice a column of colour or, instead, the triangles that form each diamond. This double reading gives the pattern its lasting interest.
