Mid-Century Hanging Leaf Mobile Poster

Five suspended shapes in a balancing act

A pale line descends from the top of the image and supports three slightly curved dark rods. Five leaf shapes hang from their ends: two in petrol blue, one coral, one mustard and one ivory. This mid-century hanging mobile with organic shapes is an illustrated motif, with its threads and attachment points still visible. Nothing is fixed into a grid; the elements seem to hold together through their placement and colours, without the need to imagine a working mechanism.

The aqua background gives every silhouette room to breathe. On the left, a coral plane warms the scene; an ivory strip of floor discreetly anchors the whole. Large solid shapes alternate with the delicate lines of the suspensions. This difference in scale gives the poster a lightness, even though deep blue occupies a substantial area.

An airy note in the room

In a living room, this image can soften a wall already busy with books or low furniture: its open space avoids adding a dense pattern. In a bedroom, the curves and gentle palette maintain a calm presence without introducing a narrative subject. A study could also welcome this graphic composition if you want a touch of colour less rigid than an arrangement of squares.

The vertical format naturally follows the central thread downwards. From a distance, you first see the five coloured shapes and their distribution; up close, the small attachment points show how the drawing is constructed. The poster depicts a mobile; it does not replace one hanging from the ceiling. Its promise is a visually light image to enjoy on the wall.
