Mexican Street Art – Ancestral Symbols Wall Art

A large turquoise-ringed eye sits right of centre in this Mexican street art style canvas print. Its red-orange iris and black pupil answer a smaller eye near the upper left. Yellow and orange dominate the horizontal design, while fragments of a graphic face extend across the image and reach its outer edges.

Turquoise eye outlines cut through yellow angular shapes

Thick black contours curve around the eyes and separate neighbouring colour fields. A long yellow band crosses the middle vertically. Red triangles, green sections and turquoise marks gather around it, creating several routes through the closely cropped composition. Some shapes continue beyond the frame of the image, so the face feels broader than a neatly enclosed central portrait.

The turquoise eyes against yellow and orange provide clear visual landmarks. Small red marks punctuate their outlines, and almost black areas sharpen the transitions. Viewed nearby, depicted flowing strokes add detail within the larger colour fields. From farther away, the broad divisions take the lead again, keeping both eyes readable across the width of the canvas.

Balance bright yellow above a wooden console

Above a brown wooden console, the multicoloured graphic face composition can echo a turquoise cushion or a red accessory. An off-white wall gives the dark outlines a clear setting. Keep decorative objects low enough to leave both eyes visible, and position a lamp beside the picture rather than across its broad central band.

Five horizontal sizes range from 41 × 31 to 122 × 81 cm. Compare the canvas width with the furniture below, leaving wall space at either end. The print is supported by a solid wood stretcher, with hanging hardware included. A restrained arrangement around it gives the densely patterned face room to hold its own.
