Menton Les Sablettes Poster – Old Town at Sunset

A blue boat at the edge of an apricot sea

A small rowing boat rests on the sand while the last light reaches across the water. This Menton Les Sablettes poster brings the viewpoint close to the shoreline: the boat, the gentle curve of the beach and the reflections form a gradual route towards the old town. Its buildings rise in warm layers beneath a slender bell tower, with darker hills gathering behind them.

The colour relationships give this painted illustration its character. Turquoise water catches streaks of peach and gold; lavender clouds deepen towards the top of the image. Ochre, coral and pale yellow facades keep the town luminous against the mountain silhouette. Pink flowers and a palm at the edge of the composition add a more intimate foreground.

Large lettering occupies the open sky, leaving the waterfront clearly readable below. The contrast between the nearby boat and the rising town gives the scene both scale and detail. From across a room, its warm skyline stands out; closer viewing reveals the shoreline and the alternating bands of reflected colour.

Let the sunset colours guide your room

In a living room, this coastal view can connect blue upholstery with a wooden table or a terracotta vase. Choose one of its quieter lavender tones for a neighbouring textile, allowing the brighter water to remain the focal point. A plain wall gives the stepped skyline enough space to be appreciated.

A study offers another setting for the illustration’s long view across the bay. Position it where the boat and curved shore can be seen together, so the composition retains its sense of arrival at the beach. Its vertical shape also suits a narrower space beside a bookcase.
