Calathea Orbifolia Poster – Striped Leaves on Salmon

Three broad leaves rise across a salmon-pink background, their dark green curves broken by sweeping, silvery stripes. This Calathea Orbifolia poster pairs close botanical detail with bold shapes: a small black circle, a curved black area at the lower edge and a pale sage form on the right. The printed Latin name, CALATHEA ORBIFOLIA, sits at the upper left in tall black lettering.

Silvery stripes meet salmon and black

The largest leaf reaches towards the upper right, while two lower leaves open to either side of the slender stems. Each has its own direction and rounded outline. Fine lines follow the broader pale bands, bringing a sense of texture to the foliage without losing the clarity of its silhouette. The stems draw the eye upwards through the portrait composition.

The appeal lies in the meeting of two visual languages. Carefully drawn foliage sits against simple, flat shapes, so the image feels both botanical and graphic. Its green and salmon colour pairing provides warmth and contrast, while the black elements give the lighter stripes a clear counterpoint. Space around the lettering lets the name remain part of the composition, with no additional English subtitle.

A leafy focal point above a pale wood desk

Above a pale wood desk, the poster can introduce colour to a workspace with cream walls and a restrained arrangement of objects. A sage accessory can pick up the pale shape at the edge; a black desk lamp can echo the circle without filling the room with repeated plant motifs. Leave some open wall around the picture so the upper leaf has room to stand out.

For a bedroom, try this striped botanical composition near oatmeal bedding and a muted green throw. In a dining area, its upright format can sit above a low wooden sideboard, bringing a distinct patch of salmon and green into a neutral setting. Choose the position where you can enjoy both the broad leaf shapes from across the room and their fine striped detail up close.
