Large asymmetric eyes occupy the centre of the head. Curled lines run around the forehead and cheeks; below them, the open mouth contains small tooth-like marks. Narrow lines in the feet add detail beneath the broader body shapes.

A 1920 work read as the Angel of History

Paul Klee made Angelus Novus in 1920. Walter Benjamin interpreted the figure as the Angel of History. That context accompanies the subject of this reproduction, delivered as a print on textured canvas with a matte finish.
