Compare colour through three subjects

A wish for more colour can lead to abstraction, an animal or a vertical composition. These examples show different ways an image can arrange its hues.

Colourful abstract canvas with organic shapes

Colour without a fixed subject

Abstract: Modern Colourful Canvas uses a horizontal composition. Compare its colour blocks without first choosing a figure or landscape.

Colourful pop-art horse canvas print

An animal in vivid colours

Multicolour Gallop gives an animal subject a pop-art treatment. The horizontal horse has a different presence from a fully abstract image.

Vertical colourful abstract canvas print

A composition emphasising height

Radiant Fusion has a vertical orientation. Compare it if the wall is narrow or you want a contrast to the horizontal lines of a sofa or sideboard.

Find the dominant palette, not every colour

A multicolour print may have many hues but be dominated by only two or three. Step back to identify the largest areas. Compare their contrast with your wall and textiles: a light print and a saturated one will stand out differently. Small secondary accents can echo objects already in the room.

Abstract, animal or figurative: keep the subject in mind

Colour does not replace the subject. Do you want to recognise an animal, follow movement or look at an arrangement of shapes? This collection includes all three; it is not limited to modern abstracts. Compare which whole image will still hold your attention once its small colour variations feel familiar.

Add colour to a living room without crowding it

With a plain sofa and rug, the print can carry most of the pattern. If textiles already have strong motifs, choose an image with a clear composition and leave space around it. One colour echo may be enough. Screen brightness also changes how a hue appears compared with printed canvas.

Match the coloured area to your room

A larger print gives its palette more space. Mark the dimensions on the wall and compare the outline with your sofa and other objects. A vertical composition can suit a narrow area. For several prints, consider their total width and the gaps between them.

Example: Modern Colorful Abstract Wall Art.
Available sizes (width × height): 41 × 31 cm · 51 × 41 cm · 61 × 46 cm · 91 × 61 cm · 122 × 81 cm.

Above a sofa or bed

Compare the width of the canvas with that of the furniture. Leave space around the picture and check how it looks from your usual viewing distance.

On a narrow section of wall

A vertical format emphasises the height of an entrance or fits beside a bookcase. Mark out its outline with masking tape before choosing.

The canvas print you receive

The image is reproduced as a print on canvas. Any brushstroke or texture effect visible in the image is part of the printed design.

The textured canvas has a matte finish and is stretched over a wooden stretcher frame. The edges are printed and hanging hardware is included. The stretcher supports the canvas; it is different from an outer decorative frame.

The estimated delivery date appears on each product page. For details, see our shipping policy and our returns policy.

Your questions about this collection

Which colourful print works above a sofa?

Choose a subject you like, then compare two dominant colours with the sofa and wall. Check the actual canvas width and leave a margin around it.

Can multicolour art work on a coloured wall?

Yes, if the contrast remains clear. Compare the print’s dominant colour with the wall; even a small pale edge can affect how it stands out.

How does a colourful print differ from a colourful abstract?

“Colourful” describes the palette; “abstract” describes a way of representing. This collection also contains animals and figurative scenes, so not every multicolour print is abstract.
