Dark temple roofs above a red gateway

The sweeping eaves of a large red gateway occupy the right side of the image. Smaller roofs overlap across the foreground, their dark curves separating warm walls from the pale courtyard below. This Tokyo poster presents Asakusa through the layered forms of its temple architecture, with a view that moves from nearby ornament towards the distant city.

A red lantern hangs within the gateway. Golden details appear along the roof edges and structural beams, adding small points of brightness to the deeper colours. On the left, the slender Tokyo Skytree rises beyond the low roofs and modern blocks, linking the historic district's visual character to a different city scale.

Cream and coral clouds spread through a textured sky. The illustration combines these warm tones with blue-grey tiles and green trees. The words TOKYO and ASAKUSA remain printed at the top; no translation of the place names changes the artwork's original lettering.
