Red cherry duo pop art poster on cyan and yellow

Two cherries in a flash of graphic colour

Two red and magenta fruits hang from stems that meet at the top. A green leaf spreads above them, large enough to balance the visual weight of the pair. A broad yellow diagonal cuts through the cyan background, while a purple shadow slips beneath the cherries. In this cherry pop art poster, a simple still life becomes a play of bold shapes, highlights and saturated colour.

The drawing does not attempt the realism of food photography. Dark outlines give the shapes extra weight, and pale highlights make the fruit appear glossy. The diagonal behind them sets the stems in motion while the cherries remain steady, side by side. Your eye can travel from the leaf to the shadow, then return to the fruit. There is no printed slogan or brand name: the image depends on this single motif and the space it occupies.

A fruity accent for the dining area

In a kitchen, the poster picks up an everyday subject without looking like a shop sign. It can also bring a cheerful accent to a dining room with a quieter palette. The portrait format gives the stems and leaf room to rise, while the cherries stay large enough to recognise from a distance.

The appeal is its unapologetically bold drawing: two fruits, a leaf, a shadow and colours with no intention of fading into the background. Hang it alone for a clear focal point of colour. Beside other botanical compositions, it adds a more playful note without losing the simplicity of its subject.
