Mistletoe and Ivory Berries Watercolour Poster

Ivory berries trace a diagonal branch

The branch enters at the upper left and descends as it divides. Its oval leaves range from olive to dark green, while small white berries catch the light like translucent pearls. The background depicts neither a forest nor a sky: it consists of lavender, mauve and slate-blue washes that give the plant room. No ribbon, wreath or festive decoration is added. The subject is mistletoe itself, with its slender branch and scattered points of light.

This mistletoe poster with a watercolour effect follows a diagonal rather than presenting a frontal botanical plate. The clusters of berries lead the eye from one node to the next, before it reaches the large area of colour left open below. The leaves remain precise enough to identify the plant; the softened background supplies the atmosphere. Ivory and violet create a gentle contrast, far from December's familiar red and green.

A winter motif that does not wait for Christmas

The image evokes the colder season without becoming a temporary decoration. In a light entrance, it brings a delicate botanical note. In a living room, its violet shades can echo a plum-coloured textile or a matte ceramic piece. The greens keep a natural presence that works with wood and unrefined materials.

This poster suits anyone looking for a discreet botanical subject: recognisable, yet not built from an accumulation of colours. The branch leaves plenty of open space, allowing the image to breathe beside other pictures without requiring a literal match of motifs. A few green or mauve accents nearby are enough to connect it to the rhythm of the room.
