Colourful Butterfly Collage Poster

Three butterflies, three notes of colour

The first butterfly opens orange wings edged in black and reaches the right-hand edge of the image. Further down, an intense blue butterfly draws the gaze to a second point. The third, in ivory and brown, brings a softer note near the bottom. Their arrangement makes a diagonal journey without a drawn line joining them. Between them, turquoise and plum fragments seem to part over a mint background; fine dark loops add another sense of movement.

This colourful butterfly collage poster owes its energy to deliberate cropping. One orange wing extends partly beyond the frame, avoiding the look of a specimen plate with every insect neatly centred. Blue and ivory take over at different heights. The torn edges represented around the butterflies open passages between the colours. They belong to the printed image, with no physical layers added to the poster.

A graphic flight to enliven a pale wall

In a living room with pale walls, orange and blue can provide two colour points around which to choose a few accessories. In a bedroom, mint and ivory soften the whole without losing the wings' brightness. The poster can also accompany a reading corner: you return to follow the path of the three figures, not to decipher a message, because there are no words in the design.

This is neither a species chart nor a natural-history photograph to be read as one. Its interest lies in the interplay of familiar forms and coloured paper shapes. From a distance, the diagonal animates the wall; up close, wing patterns and fragment edges hold your attention. It suits anyone who wants to bring nature into a room with cheerful energy and a contemporary graphic language.
