Blue Irises and Moon Collage Poster

Three irises before an immense moon

The flowers rise from the bottom of the image at different heights. Their cobalt-blue petals fill almost its entire width, with dark folds and fine yellow accents near the centre. Behind them, a large pale moon reveals its detailed surface. Tall, slender green leaves connect the bouquet to the background. In this iris and moon collage poster, the flowers retain their precision while the moon changes the scale of the scene.

The name “Composite Night” suggests an imagined meeting; it does not describe a black sky. The background is vivid coral, crossed by lavender and charcoal paper with irregular edges. This warm colour brings out the irises' blues and keeps the moon from disappearing behind the flowers. The contrast feels almost theatrical: petals seem to advance towards us, the moon stays distant, and paper strips show how these two worlds have been brought together.

A floral presence that holds its own

In a bedroom, the composition brings a dreamlike note without adopting the dark palette often associated with lunar scenes. Coral warms the wall; the flowers' deep blue gives enough definition to become a focal point above a chest of drawers. In a living room, it can echo a blue cushion or a small touch of terracotta, without requiring the whole room to repeat its colours.

From afar, the irises' silhouette before the lunar disc stands out first. Closer up, the veins, ruffled petals and paths of torn strips become visible. This poster is for those who love recognisable flowers but want to see them in a freer composition than a bouquet arranged in a vase.
